SABAH-The land that ours
,,I just spent my wonderful holiday at kampung for merdeka holiday and it really good!
..and i also had finish reading EAT PRAY LOVE..
it feel exciting to spend days at kampung!
I love my land..and it really makes me sad to hear someone selling their land, in exchange for money. well, i am not saying that money is not important, but is it the only way? How about long term plan, how about working hard, how about be creative? How i wish i could have millions of money to buy those land, and not to have to go to the outsiders. Again, i love my land.
There'a a story from a business man back in KL, he said: "Sabahan people is stupid. They sells their land for rm90K, happily smiling to get their money. Guess what...i buy the land, and sell it for 500K. That's an easy money!"
Somehow, i think, we local takes things for granted. And i hate to admit that. But that's what we are. And it's even funny to hear that some sells the land to have a beautiful wedding? oh my! Are we local...crazy?
..i don't know, and i am sad..I pray that one day the next generation won't have to build 1000storeys apartments : they don't have enough land to stay...because my generation had sold it to outsiders!
we are so pathetic ain't we?

When In Rome..eh Sabah :)
What i really hate it here is the pedestrian ! okay, not ALL of them, but those who always give me heart attack! i don't get it, that MOST of the pedestrian will just crossing the road without any warning, and well out of nowhere...i will have to do my emergency break every time! I don’t understand why, they just don't want to be careful, i mean just please do not do that! Don't just suddenly crossing the road, like as if, you’re not there-driving through! urgh!
Where i stay, is a brand new apartment with a very urban style design. With those fantastic mirror wall for the units and so on..But guess what, my neighbor downstairs, put all his family's shoes, slipper and so on, on the stairs, which we have to use everyday to go to our unit! They should think of other people safely, what is someone is carrying things to go up, and suddenly stepped on those shoes? hissss...i am so very marah! They should just buy camping equipment and put a camping zone outside the unit!
Oh i do not mean i hate Sabah ah..no no no....i love Sabah.. I was just mentioning on some situation that i hate it here..well it can be happen to anyone anywhere also bah.. :)
But when you are in your land, you will feel welcome everywhere you go. Understand each other jokes and stories. i heart Sabah!

Singapore Discovers How To Turn Carbon Dioxide Into Methanol!
Yea you read the title right! They has just made an enormous contribution to relieving the world's debt to the environment! Finally ey finally...
Well i remember how i have this stomach ache everytime i sit for my Chemistry paper back to my college year, now i understand how important it is!ha ha.
In the international chemistry journal Angewandte Chemie, the IBN researchers report that by using organocatalysts, they activated carbon dioxide in a mild and non-toxic process to produce methanol, a widely used industrial feedstock and clean-burning biofuel.
The scientists made carbon dioxide react by using N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs), a novel organocatalyst. In contrast to heavy metal catalysts that contain toxic and unstable components, NHCs are stable, even in the presence of oxygen. Hence, the reaction with NHCs and carbon dioxide can take place under mild conditions in dry air.Err...maybe we can just pretend to understand those technical term they are using there. hehe..as far as i remember two H to add 1 O will produce water! Ha ha ha...Yayy..maybe i will need to reward myself some beaded lanyards for still remember that! :P
Well malaysian, apa tunggu lagi? Singapore is just the third smallest sovereign nation in the world, and they can make such a BIG THING? Lets show the world that MALAYSIA BOLEH..boleh?
But i hope they won't turn all CO2 to methanol, because the plants will need some for their photosynthesis thingy :)
CO2 to methanol conversion process is a pretty interesting concept; I'd like to see how cost/energy efficient it is. It would also be interesting to see what type of scale this process could operate on.

Okay to be gay in Malaysian films, if ..character repents
Film-makers can depict homosexuals for the first time in strictly censored Malaysia -- so long as they repent or even go straight in the end, an industry group said Monday.Strict censorship rules in the mostly Muslim country mean books and films are routinely banned or scenes deleted that are deemed detrimental to moral values or religious sensitivities.
The new censorship guidelines reverse a ban on scenes featuring homosexuality, Malaysian Film Producers' Association president Ahmad Puad Onah said. But there's a catch.
"We are now allowed to show these scenes," he told AFP. "As long as we portray good triumphing over evil and there is a lesson learnt in the film, such as from a gay (character) who turns into a (straight) man.
"Previously we are not allowed to show these at all."
The new rules, he insists, will allow greater freedom of expression for film-makers. But kissing, undressing and obscenity scenes will still be banned.
"We can do almost anything now but we are urged to give due considerations on the film's impact on certain areas like public order, religion, socio-culture elements and moral values."
It is not just homosexuality, subjects such as illegal racing can also be depicted.
A New Sunday Times report at the weekend said a local movie "V3 Road Gangster" on illegal racing was being shown in the cinemas since it satisfied the rules as the illegal racers either died or were caught by police at the end.
Another movie that has recently passed Malaysian censors was a film featured the life of a transvestite. It will be screened in May.
The Film Censorship Board could not be reached for comment.
Whats wrong for being gay? C'mon people!
I heard some bi*** word in TV2 last nite..awww..

Malaysia and more politics make me dizzy
I just read some blogs which discussing about current political issue in Malaysia, and indeed it is very interesting. Thanks to the government for always do the Reading campaign, it remind me everyday to read their blogs, and i do respect those writer who write such beautiful and honest post on what they have in mind.
I am not into politics, but to read the posts, it really make me realize that the current government should do their reading and try to understand what Malaysian discussed. Do not ban any website or put people into prison just because they are talking.
Think in a positive way, take the comments to improve. Well.. like my boss always said, go outside and check what people says about our service.
If you come back with all nice comments, you will be in danger. Come with nasty complains and we will start from there.
Its true tho! With lots of nasty complaints we improve day by day. We know our stuffs, and we are more confident to talk. I mean, what it is in a company to kill (opss, maybe too harsh) hmm put their own clients to prisons just because they are telling the truth? Ok, some are not true, but for me i will gladly prove that what my client say is not true.
I always love marina Mahatir's writing, and the person herself :) . This is quoted from her writing:
My interpretation is that a good leader is one who doesn’t sit around trying to find ways for people to love him or her but does the right thing for his country and people and hope they will see the justification for it, and eventually love him or her.
you can find her blog at http://rantingsbymm.blogspot.com :)
Very true ain't it?
Well...it's up to everyone to decide...But for me, i will vote the leader who respect in honesty, love and people...

Woman fined in Sudan for wearing pants?
KHARTOUM, Sudan – A Sudanese woman who wore pants in public was fined the equivalent of $200 but spared a whipping Monday when a court found her guilty of violating Sudan's decency laws.
A defiant Lubna Hussein said she would not pay the fine and would take a month in prison instead to protest Sudan's draconian morality laws.
The 34-year-old journalist has set out to challenge the police and courts since her arrest in July by insisting the case go to trial, aiming to embarrass the Khartoum government with the publicity. Her prosecution – and the prospect that she could get the full sentence of 40 lashes – drew an international outcry.
Hussein vowed to appeal the sentence and even walked into the court wearing the same pair of loose-fitting green slacks that she was arrested in.
Manal Awad Khogali, one of her lawyers, said the judge hearing the case had called only police witnesses to testify and refused to allow Hussein – who has pledged to use her trial to bring attention to women's rights in Sudan – to defend herself.
"He didn't give us a chance," Manal said.
After the trial was over, Hussein seemed defiant as ever. "I will not pay a penny," she said.
On Monday night, after refusing her lawyers' advice to pay, Hussein was whisked off to jail, though her lawyers said that a committee formed for her defense may pay the fine and free her.
Sudan is partly governed by Islamic law, which calls for women to dress modestly. But the law is vague. According to Article 152 of Sudan's penal code, anyone "who commits an indecent act which violates public morality or wears indecent clothing" can be fined and lashed up to 40 times.
Hmmmmmmmm....Go Lubna!! ..Gosh, i mean....WHATS WRONG WITH WEARING PANTS???????
Maybe Sudan just like erm...well ...Malaysia? Think about it...If you feel like, WHAT THE.....Then think about malaysia..ha ha ha....No offends..just that i really love to do some thinking...yeah..Ha ha...

REMPIT..REMPIT...REMPIT!
I really have no idea what is in their mind, they can do anything , but everything which is bad! They even kill, owh for the record, yesterday, Pregnant Lady Died Due to Hangbag Snatching Rempit!
I dont know, i really dont know why this predator can even share this world with the rest of us..Its just so pathetic that REMPIT can do nothing but sit on their so called bombastic bike, and kill people...Anyone?
Sigh...Malaysia will be more peaceful without REMPIT...And hopefully our BELOVED government can do something 'intelligent' with this..Well no offends, i really mean it!
