The big day ..for her

My youngest sister having trouble sleeping, eating and maybe breathing for the last few days waiting for her SPM result to be announced. Ha ha..Yea, i know the feeling. I was in that situation before, it felt like crying to think of what's if and all the possibilities.

And SPM result had been announced.

Yea, out of 11 subjects, she manage to get 5As. She's frustrated and not happy about it. Felt like a failure to see most of her close friends get straight As. Well sist, its not the end of the world. Its just the begining of her life, a real life. Maybe being the straight As student since UPSR and PMR makes her feel sooo much pain not to get the straight As for the most important exam.

She might feel soooo painful now, but for me and the rest of the families, we know she had really tried her best. I was in her shoes before , knowing that my dream didn't come true, and i cried all night. Ha ha..But moving on, i continue to Matriculation, then University, well..I really didnt feel the difference with all straight As student  from boarding school...Trust me lil sist, you have a long way to go. Slowly you will know, its your capabilities, your strength and your determination that will determine are you a failure or not.

Success is not measured by how many As you get, but by knowing that you will always do the best, keep trying, believing yourself and most of all, proving that you can be very independent standing on your feet and achieving your life goal. Simple :)

Congratulation dear sister, go and celebrate..enjoy! :D

I am tired

My body ache my mind feel like exploding. I feel overwhelmingly tired. Tired with everything and wish i could just sleep and forget the world. I am tired with my busy office time, my other job that always need me to do everything, i am tired with the whole house moving thing; packing-dusts-transportation-money-arrangement, i am tired with all cleaning, all washing all cooking...

I am tired when my boss asking me HOW? or WHY? I am tired when my colleague send me tons of papers need to read and confirm. I am tired with emails need me to do product explanation. My days? Its not something any human being love to have..

i am tired when someone compares me with other person-i wish i could just scream, i am tired when people expecting more but never work hard for it, i am tired when i have to think about everything..

I need some rest..

Self-Meditation : Time Mangement

I have trouble with my time management!

Being a full time working woman, in a very busy industry,i really have a very little time for myself..not yet to mention yours truly new company that really need an attention. Everyday is like a battlefield for me, struggling 9am to 8pm in the office, rushing home cooking dinner, having 2 minute rest and continue with work. My mind keep on working even though i am physically asleep!

There one phrase at Web Article that attract my attention:
There is a belief that a messy desk or office reflects a disorganized or messy mind. Whether this is true or not is of little importance. What does matter is that piles of paper, memos and reports on the desk generate a feeling of not being up-to-date with your work, and may also force you to think about more than one job at a time.

Hmm maybe? Ok i'll give it a try tomorrow..See if it works ya!

Oh by the way, i might will try baking (yea, you read it right )this weekend.. Ha ha...i just excited after reading webwordarticle about a cake..well maybe baking could be a good therapy? I'll let you guys updated :D

Someday..someday..i will stay longer at home, and lesser in the office...

How i wish..

There it goes...CNY holiday ended! Sigh, how i wish to have it a bit longer..
Four days off, but i am full with lots of things. Mostly cleaning the house and my room..Hmmm, sometimes it tense me to have to do lots of things when i really want to have a good rest at home...But , yeah, i can't stand to see the fridge not cleaned, the laundry hasn't finish, the room hasn't cleaned, the floor, the cabinet, the...
haih..too many things lah..

I always wish i could someday only do part time at my company, and can spend more time at home. That way i can do more cleaning and arranging the house..With so much things to do and too short time everyday, i barely can't do it all..

Oh, i just bought myself a book entitled "The Law of Attraction"

haven't finish reading it, but so far it is as good as the title is :)..Well, just something for my soul and my mind this year ..Yep, lots of things in my mind this year, and its good to have something to 'feed' my mind..Well its a valentine gift to myself :)

How to save money

I always wanted to have the consistency on saving same amount or (even increase) every month. But..well, ha ha..there's always a BUT..

How la...I did try, and of course i can save..but well, its not enough..i had calculated, and i need to save triple amount that i save now, to make me well prepared with my financial future. Ha ha ha!

Well, maybe some of us don't really bother about saving. But trust me its really important. I bought me and my mom's life insurance some years back so that at least something is spare for us if just in case someday we need to pay high hospital bills.

I remember when i was a child, i always hate when my mom said "We can't afford that, we don't have money". But think back, she was planning everything for us (me , my 2 younger sisters and my brother) for our universities fee, mostly. She even had the 'expenses book', where she wrote everything that she spend monthly.

Well, it was sad to finally realize, how much she had actually keep herself from buying the things she wants because she knows all of us will need the money for our studies. being in the situation where i work and have to save money, trust me mom, i know the feeling now :P

My little sister always said i am almost like mom, with the word-of-the-month 'We can't afford it'..Ha ha..yep, sister, we can't afford it. Its for your own good!

If i have my own child one day, i will teach them the way my mom teach us, saving. We can't afford everything. Ha ha..well that's good tho, if not, i might become a spoil brat now..

This is a good article we all should think about. As i keep telling my self , Save and just spend on necessary things. It won't make you stinky, because you know when and where to spend.

Emergencies:

If there's one certainty in life, it's that unexpected things can happen at any time. Whether it's a natural disaster, an unplanned illness, the loss of a job, or a bad investment, the financial repercussions of an emergency situation can be debilitating if you aren't properly prepared. A well established savings account can help prevent a financial crisis when these situations arise.

Debt Prevention:

The main reason that people go into debt is because they make purchases that they can't afford. In these instances, they usually turn to credit cards (which charge high interest rates and are often hard to pay off). A well-funded savings account can allow you to purchase the items outright and avoid the pitfalls of borrowing money.

Plan for the Future:

Everyone has something that they are striving for. Whether it's money to buy a new car, pay for an education, or fund an early retirement, many of the things that we want can end up costing a good deal of money. An efficient and disciplined savings plan can help you achieve those goals sooner and without the drawbacks of debt.

P/S : Planning budget for my new house now..and ...hmmmm....money..money..money :)

How to Avoid On-the-Job Weight Gain

Interesting title?

Yep, as i am on my way to loose some weight, i would love to share this. I miss my days when i don't have to worry anything i wear, because thay just fit nicely on me..:(

Even if you love your job, it may be killing you.

Australian researchers found that men sitting at their desks more than six hours a day are nearly twice as likely to be overweight than those who sit for less than 45 minutes a day. While women fared slightly better—spending on average 20 more minutes on their feet at the office than men—researchers conclude that a sedentary job is a major health concern for both genders.

And it’s no secret that sedentary jobs (and lifestyles) have contributed dramatically to the accelerating obesity rate of the past 20 years. Put emphasis on the word ‘dramatically’—a study conducted by the University of Chicago in 2001 found that a worker in a sedentary career may end up with a Body Mass Index 3.3 units higher than someone in a highly active job. If you’re 5'5" this can mean an increase in weight from 140 pounds to 155 pounds!

Now that you’ve heard the bad news, let’s turn to the good news…

You CAN love your less-than-active job and be fit. Here’s how:

1. Be sure to eat. It’s easy to slog through a day of meetings, e-mails, and phone calls to discover at 4 p.m. that you haven’t eaten since breakfast. But, your body needs energy to get you through the day. Make it a priority to have a healthy and tasty meal—along with 1-2 healthy snacks. It is not a sin to opt for such shortcuts as microwave meals, as long as you read labels to avoid items with excess calories and sodium.

2. Compensate, compensate. Get physical to compensate for your sedentary workday. Join a gym, take an early morning run, or find time for fitness fun with your family. Buy one or two pieces of home exercise equipment that will allow you to exercise no matter what the weather.

3. Rework your network. Chances are, your friends and co-workers need help with their love handles just as much as you do. So, try some new activities that don’t revolve around food. Organize a bi-weekly volleyball game, walk during lunch, or play a quick round of mini-golf after work.

4. Bring your buddies on board. While you’re coaxing co-workers to modify those after-work habits, see if you can’t involve them in a friendly get-fit challenge during work hours. By sharing healthy potluck lunches, exchanging recipes, and providing moral support, you’ll find that getting in shape can be a team-building triumph. (You might even check with Human Resources or management to see if you can involve them in a fun or meaningful way—since healthy employees save $$$.)

5. Don’t eat due to boredom. Blacklist the office vending machine by stashing strategic healthy snacks (apples and almond butter, low-cal energy bars, nuts, or hummus and pita bread) that will give you a lift without adding to your waistline. If you know that occasionally you’ll fall—and most of us do—pick out ahead of time the items you can live with so that your dip doesn’t become a dive. Keep water at your desk; it’ll give your hands something to do when you’re stressed and will divert you from eating when you’re not really hungry.

6. Vary your routine. We all have them— those daily social rituals, like heading upstairs to the cafeteria for a mid-morning latte and muffin. You can still have those items…but make it sometimes, not all times. If you want to change your life in big ways, try some small changes, like substituting a yogurt and black coffee with skim milk half the time. You’ll save about 470 calories (660 vs. 160)! (And you’re taking the stairs up to the cafeteria, right?)

7. Lose the technology. Modern advances are great, but do you control them or do they control you? As much as possible, take advantage of opportunities throughout the day to get up and move! Deliver that memo in person, sit on a stability ball at your desk to improve your posture, park at the far end of the parking lot for a brisk walk to your building. You’ll be surprised how quickly minor changes can improve your energy level and help you get fit.

8. Choose wisely. Whether you normally go out for lunch or eat in the cafeteria, try to make your meal choices conscious ones. Learn how to eat out wisely, and remember how much better you feel come mid-afternoon when you eat healthy. If you find that your cafeteria or workplace doesn't offer healthy choices, check with the person who’s in charge of food service—you may be the person who tips the balance to get better options!

One in five Americans is obese; three in five are either overweight or obese. But sitting at a desk doesn’t have to mean you’ll be just another statistic! Incorporating these simple strategies into your workday will bring you one step closer to being a healthier, more energetic you.

Malaysia and more politics make me dizzy

Just clock off from office, and having my own time at oldtown white coffee :)..I had some mee with minced chicken and layered tea ..hehe...At least it ease my mind ..

I just read some blogs which discussing about current political issue in Malaysia, and indeed it is very interesting. Thanks to the government for always do the Reading campaign, it remind me everyday to read their blogs, and i do respect those writer who write such beautiful and honest post on what they have in mind.

I am not into politics, but to read the posts, it really make me realize that the current government should do their reading and try to understand what Malaysian discussed. Do not ban any website or put people into prison just because they are talking.

Think in a positive way, take the comments to improve. Well.. like my boss always said, go outside and check what people says about our service.
If you come back with all nice comments, you will be in danger. Come with nasty complains and we will start from there.

Its true tho! With lots of nasty complaints we improve day by day. We know our stuffs, and we are more confident to talk. I mean, what it is in a company to kill (opss, maybe too harsh) hmm put their own clients to prisons just because they are telling the truth? Ok, some are not true, but for me i will gladly prove that what my client say is not true.

I always love marina Mahatir's writing, and the person herself :) . This is quoted from her writing:

My interpretation is that a good leader is one who doesn’t sit around trying to find ways for people to love him or her but does the right thing for his country and people and hope they will see the justification for it, and eventually love him or her.

you can find her blog at http://rantingsbymm.blogspot.com :)

Very true ain't it?

Well...it's up to everyone to decide...But for me, i will vote the leader who respect in honesty, love and people...

Today's best joke!

I am having stomach upset today, blame the tomyam last nite! I love Tomyam, but last nite really a HOT and SPICY tomyam...

Don't really have a mood in office today, but yeah, bills need to pay!

But something really makes me laugh today. Its a joke from Ben's blog:

A man came home from work and his children ran to him and called out ‘Ayah! Ayah!’. His neighbor got very upset and said to him, “Can you please tell your children not to call you ‘Ayah’ (father in Malay language)?”

The man asked, “Why?” The neighbor retorted,“Because my children call me ’Ayah’ too.
They might get confused and mistaken you to be their father. Posted by AnSoN

Ha ha..At least i forget about my stomach upset for a while and laughing. I remember Ayah, my uncle. And..ha ha ha thats really funny if the children can be confused with their own Ayah...Well what to do, some children might easily confused..ha ha ha...i am still laughing...

Oh well, i cannot talk much here, because people, in our world, you don't have the freedom to really talk and deliver the point. ha ha ha...

Thank God Its Friday!

2010 The third week

Maybe its wrong to start a fresh year with all the stress around..Yea, its not right..

Sigh, this is my second week working after my lovely holiday. Its a real pain. I even cried to let go all the stress, well a good way to let it go ey :D..

I walk in to the office last 2 weeks to know that everything changed. My 2 teammates are no longer with the team. And well as i already had in my mind, i have to take over their task. What more can i say..To find new job?Well hope our beloved government will stop all the unwanted thing in our country so we can start concentrating putting our economic into at least stable level? So i can easily find a good job to pay my bills.

First 1 week, i tried to keep all the energy i can get to start my work. Keep updated with everyone on works, projects and new plan. I don't want to push myself too much on the first week (ya i know excuse! :D )

Now 2nd week, i have no choice but to look at the files my ex teammate left for me...Meeting up clients and start being cranky with my junior teammates. I am the only female in our whole division now, and it makes me more and more stress. Well dealing with all male teammate really challenging, especially when you are the one who need to tell them what to do, arranging their work, getting reports and get them to do the task!

This week, it really makes me tired. I don't even have the energy to make a dinner after work.

Maybe all i need is a quiet place to be alone, and re-charging myself.

Promise Myself..

...To be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person i meet
To make all my fiends feel that there's something in them
To look at the sunny side of everything and make my optimism come true
To think only the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as i am about my own
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature i meet a smile
To give so much time to the improvement of myself that i have no time to criticize others
To be too large for worry too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble
To think well of myself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words but in great deeds
To live in the faith that the whole world is on my side so long as i am true to the best that
is in me....

When everything just pushing me to the madness, i love those by D.Larson. Think positive and improving everyday :)... Thanks Yung for sharing this ..hugsss...

As a person who don't like to stay in my comfort zone, i love to challenge myself to be better and better everyday, to achieve something and do what it takes to get it..BUT...sometimes i do fall down and cry, and surrender with everything...A good friend, understanding families, a loving someone and this very encouraging words , could bring me back to life..Yea :)

.. its 12:50 midnite. Working round the clock to finish all my pending works...The air breeze unbelievably feel so good, strangely feels my dearest grandparents around..Maybe they are..To give me strength as they always do... :) ...Whispering...I love you...

fourthy or forthy

I just have a healthy argument with our accountant just now when i wrote FOURTY on the invoice and she wants me to correct it to FORTY.

I told her that the correct spelling is FOURTY but she still said its FORTY. Looking up at google, i show her 40= FOURTY!!

But she open up another online dictionary and 40= FORTY.

Ha ha..Its kinda stupid, but we keep on searching, reading forum about which one is which. Turn out, yea she's rite...:)

40=FORTY

Ha ha ha! well at least after 20++ years, now i know..

Btw is it pedagogy in English or English pedagogy ? :D

P/s Finally we both scolded by boss. The client making noise because we haven't send the invoice yet..errrr.....

Post-it-now :)

its 2am..midnite..or rather early morning now..

weekend just started, and as always i'm so excited but still doing some unfinished work from the office today. ...almost done ..:)

Now i heard my friend singing outside this room...A very nice song..havent heard it for quite some time..and yea..now it keeps singing in my mind...ha ha..

Sometimes its hard to be a woman
Giving all your love to just one man
You'll have bad times
And he'll have good times
Doing things that you don't understand
But if you love him you'll forgive him
Even though he's hard to understand
And if you love him
Oh be proud of him
'Cause after all he's just a man
Stand by your man
Give him two arms to cling to
And something warm to come to
When nights are cold and lonely
Stand by your man
And tell the world you love him
Keep giving all the love you can
Stand by your man
Stand by your man
And show the world you love him
Keep giving all the love you can
Stand by your man

happy weekend everyone!
